Cindy J. Cohn, CCIM

Principle, Springboard Consulting, LLC

Cindy J. Cohn has been in the commercial real estate industry since the mid 1980s during which she has gained valuable leadership, business, financial and people skills. Her unique blend of strategic and operational expertise gives her the ability to assess situations quickly and intuitively, allowing her to see opportunity and create effective strategies for innovation and improvements. A life-long mentor who is now a Certified Coach, Cindy launched Springboard Consulting in 2013 to utilize these skills as a catalyst for positive, well-organized change for clients by providing interim COO or asset management services, corporate and individual coaching, and staff development workshops.

Cindy’s innate experience with building and motivating staff is grounded in integrity, communication, and positive encouragement. Her approach inspires confidence and a commitment to honesty and loyalty.

Prior to launching Springboard Consulting, Cindy was the Regional Chief Operating Officer for Parmenter Realty Partners. She oversaw all operations of the region, which included 65 employees in 13 offices. In addition, she was responsible for capital improvements, value enhancement and asset management of over 5.3 million square feet of class A office space in Texas, Colorado, Missouri and Oklahoma, valued in excess of $600 Million.

The majority of Cindy’s career has been in asset management representing large institutional owners of commercial real estate for companies such as Aetna Life Insurance Company, Phoenix Home Life Mutual Insurance Company and Koll Investment Management Company. As an asset manager, she has been responsible for value creation and all decisions regarding the physical, financial and operating aspects of over 12 million square feet valued well in excess of $1 billion.

In addition, Cindy has experience on the corporate side with the Trammell Crow Company, where she was responsible for all real estate transactions for i2 Technologies, Inc., a Dallas-based software company with over 40 offices nationwide. During her tenure at i2, she was personally instrumental in saving the company over $60.7 million in real estate costs by implementing an aggressive disposition strategy for closed assets. As the only real estate professional in the company, Cindy created all departmental policies and procedures and oversaw all real estate transactions for the company.

Cindy’s career began in retail leasing during the mid 1980’s where she handled leasing for multiple properties, including the Crescent retail project, for the Henry S. Miller Company.

Cindy has earned her CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), her CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) designation from the CCIM Institute, is a member of CREW Dallas and the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas. She has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of CREW Dallas, CREW in the Community, the Dallas chapters of CCIM and IREM and the Valley Ranch Residential and Master Associations.

Cindy is passionate about mentoring and has served on numerous committees and volunteered for organizations whose mission is outreach to those less fortunate. She lives in San Antonio with her husband, Scott, and has five children and five grandchildren. She enjoys reading, shooting and horses.

I have worked with Cindy on multiple projects. Of the many qualities I found to be impressive, the most significant was her organizational skills, ability to dial in on the project objectives, and quantify them into terms that were easy for me and my design team to follow. She is a consummate professional who is very in tune with the improvements and image that will bring the maximum yield while providing long lasting impact to attract and retain tenants.
